Portobello Mushroom Pizza
This is one of the best-tasting pizzas I've had in a long time. I love the combination of portobello mushrooms, onions, supported by the perfect blend of truffle and garlic. It comes together as a total flavor explosion you have to experience to believe. I first tried it with a group of friends, and we devoured it in just a couple of minutes. Now, every time I go back, I have to order it. Try it for yourself and see!

The food was fantastic. The ambience and service were great.
Crispy Goat Cheese Salad
This salad was so good! Every time I go Desert Rose I usually order their Apple Arugula Salad - it was the first one I tried and I love it so much I stuck to it, but now I'm trying all their salads and today I had the Crispy Goat cheese. My conclusion is all of their salads are delicious. I had a wonderful afternoon reading my book and having a lovely interaction with my waiter. Their patio is great and serene and their food is really good quality. I highly recommend. I finished my meal with strawberry crepes, and a turkish coffee... amazing. Oh and their cocktails are yummy too!
Lamb Shank
The lamb shank at Desert Rose is pure poetry on a plate. Slow-braised until it surrenders, the meat slips gracefully from the bone, rich with warmth and depth. Each bite lingers like a whispered secret, tender and unhurried, reminding me that true beauty is found in patience. It's a dish that doesn't just feed the body --- it caresses the soul. For this, I am deeply grateful.

Ziad, the gracious owner, carries the heart of true hospitality --- always present with a smile, often with his loyal dog nearby, reminding you that this is more than a restaurant, it is a gathering place. The staff move with kindness and care, treating each guest as if you were family at their own table. The flavors speak of tradition and passion. The Desert Rose cocktail is bright and refreshing, the perfect opening to the meal. The blue crab cakes are golden and tender, full of depth, while the crispy goat cheese salad sings with texture --- fresh, light, and indulgent all at once. The filet au poivre is prepared with mastery, rich and flavorful, each bite a delight. And then, there is the lava cake --- warm, sweet, and decadent, a dessert that feels like a celebration in itself. To dine here is to be transported --- the food, the atmosphere, the generosity of the people all weave together like a Mediterranean evening under the stars. Desert Rose is not simply a meal, it is an experience of gratitude and joy, a reminder of why we gather around the table.
Hummus with Pita
My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Desert Rose on a recent trip to LA. The hospitality and service was five star and the food was delicious. My favorite was the fire roasted vegetables and the fresh homemade hummus. We found free parking easily on the side street. An excellent dining experience that will bring us back next time we come to LA. What a beautiful spot to enjoy an evening meal!
